LG Electronics has introduced a robot that is supposed to prevent the spread of the Corona virus by disinfecting the environment. This robot is equipped with a UV-C lamp; By emitting a wavelength of 100 to 280 nm, it can eliminate various masses.
According to LG, the UV-C lamps on the robot can kill 99.9% of coliform and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria within a one-meter radius.
This LG robot is 160 cm high and is equipped with self-propelled technology that can easily cross obstacles. LG has announced that the robot is designed to disinfect accessible places and devices.
LG places the robot in hotels, hospitals, schools and wherever the virus can spread. This robot helps the treatment staff to disinfect the environment during the corona virus outbreak.
Of course, LG intends to introduce an alternative to UV-C lamps. It seems that disinfectant spray will be used instead of this type of lamp. This model is used for open environments such as offices, restaurants and public transportation services.
South Korea has seen an increase in the number of people infected with the corona virus over the past month, and public places such as restaurants and cafes have been closed since 9pm for several days now. Sports clubs have also been closed in the country.
